I couldn't stop listing to this book, it is the audiobook equivalent of a page turner. it is a very interesting cultivation story with some LitRPG elements and a well written female main character. I can't wait for book two! the story is well written and fun and the audio production is also of high quality - a very easy 5 / 5 stars

This book(Audio version) was really good. I enjoyed the journey of the MC and I am really looking forward on how the story will progress.

A few scenes did upset the listening flow, but not enough to remove a star. one such event is, why in the middle of a fight does the MC have to think of her past difficulties instead of the battle at hand? She only has a moment to think up a strategy to defeat her foe and this strategy is what I am interested in at that moment. Afterwards she can reminisce all she wants.
I was really itching to skip all that head cinema and move on but didn't.

Anyways, I enjoyed it very much.

Also eins vorab, wer die Cradle oder die Dragon Heart Series mag, kommt hier auf seine vollen Kosten!

Die Hauptprotagonistin ist sehr sympatisch und wirkt intelligent. Das Worldbuilding ist meiner Meinung nach gut, könnte aber noch besser sein. Die Geschichte ist sehr mitreißend und ich konnte oft gar nicht mehr aufhören weiter zu hören.

Es sind kleine LitRPG Elemente im Buch vorhanden, diese beschränken sich jedoch auf das sogenannte "God Sign"
Ansonsten fokusiert sich das Buch sehr stark an progression Cultivation/Wuxian mit westlichen touch.

Kurz noch zur Sprecherin. Diese hat eine hervorragende Arbeit geleistet, die Geschichte lebendig und spannend zu halten.

Von mir bekommt das Buch 5 von 5 Sternen und ich kann kaum erwarten, dass der nächste Teil rauskommt.

Einfach nur verdammt gut. Toll geschrieben, tolle twists, gutw Erzählerin. Meiner Meinung nach hat sich das Buch absolute 5 Sterne verdient

Ich war sehr positiv überrascht. Eines von wenigen Büchern, das einen intelligenten MC hat.
Der Aufbau und die Entwicklung ist gut. Für eine kleinere Stadt am Ende der Welt ist sie etwas OP, doch ich denke, dass mit mehr Nähe zum Zentrum der Macht, sich das relativiert.

If you drink a cup of water every time you hear "To the clan" or "For the clan" you would drown yourself.
This is a somewhat solid story, but it is also very hard to listen to, at least for me.
A girl gets abused by her family (including EXTREME neglect) her clan and every one else, then she keeps forgiving everyone and excepting more abuse, I as a listener felt like I'm being constantly gaslit LOL
The way she keeps portraying her clan and family as "good" (by wanting to impress and satisfy them) is very questionable.
The other thing I struggle with is the fact that all names and a ton of terms are Chinese.

Honestly maybe i would have given the story 4 Stars if my expactations hadn't been so high. But all the hype in the other reviews set them rather high. I don't realy get the hype about this story. It was interesting but also had me roll my eyes a lot due to it's heavy use of genre cliches, from arrogant young masters to evil "step mothers" , comically evil villains and oblivious parents to name a few. The whole "chosen one" stick got annyoing fast, she is basically jesus(i am not kidding). The MC has the perfect personality typical for chosen ones and of course she is as op as it can get. Wouldn't call her a Mary Sue though or i wouldn't have finished the book. The speaker was also ok and not 5 stars amazing, at least in my opinion. She seems to struggle to make the male voices distinct, they all sounded more or less the same to me. Don't let this review stop you from buying it, just temper your expectations a little.

The first part of the story seems so unnecessary. The over the top bulling and bad elements make the world seem very comical cliche. That her parents do not seem to notice anything is even worse and i didn't seem any purpose of first telling the reader/listener, that a child was born with such a great talent, that a rivaling faction hat to cripple her, only a few even seeming to getting to know that fact and than her being "reborn" at 13 after years of bulling. And even after being reborn the main character gets no agency of her own, is pushed around and used, because she is an asset of the clan that has to be hidden.

That's not an interesting story to follow. I want interesting characters, not caricatures and a story that is character drive with at least the main character having a lot of agency over their own action. This it not such a story.
