The main idea is that the protagonist doesn't want to be the protagonist and tries to avoid all the protagonist stuff. By doing so he, he gets of course stronger and meets people that can teach him a lot. It's kinda slice of life mixed with several levels of intrigue.
And since the protagonist doesn't know a lot about the world, we discover the world the same way he does.
If you're looking for action packed battles and a dramatic rise to power, this might not be the book for you. If you want to listen to a nice story about a nerd finding himself in a cultivation world, trying to make the best out of it. this might be for you. I had lots of fun, and will get the the next book as well.

Progression, isekai and subtle fun with looking back to earth life. I liked it. The audiobook is well read and it really hooks.

I really don't enjoy the "trying too hard to be cool, quirky and ironic" story writing. It also switches between first person perspective and all knowing narrator perspective, which sometimes felt immersion breaking, but that could just be me.

The cultivation setting, world building and mechanics themselfs are nice and the story is somewhat interesting.
I really like the narrator, definitely a great choice that makes everything come alife.
