Absolutely breathtaking insight into a truly heroic and courageous mind. Navalny‘s accounts span from his political activities, beliefs, anti-corruption work and private life to a prison diary. Despite the unspeakable cruelty of his circumstances, the despicable treatment he endured at the hands of Putin‘s regime and the dire prison conditions, he manages to retain his humour, sarcasm and makes you laugh even though you actually want to cry for him.

This is an absolute must-listen/read!

Insider Informationen sind immer die Besten. Und so ist es mit diesem Buch! Geboren 1976, ermordet 2024 von dem Putin-Regime. Alexei Nawalny beschreibt hier spannend, kurzweilig und witzig (!) sein eigenes Leben. Begonnen in der Sowjetunion, der Vater Offizier, dann die zarten Versuche einer Demokratie unter Gorbatschow und Jelzin, parallel dazu sein eigenes Streben nach Freiheit, Demokratie und Gerechtigkeit bis hin zu dem aktuell herrschenden Diktator Putin, dessen Machterhalt und Herrschmethode allein auf Lügen und Angst beruht. Und genau gegen diese Lügen und diese Angst hat Alexey sein Leben lang gekämpft, hat immer wieder dazu motiviert, KEINE Angst zu zeigen und aufgefordert,
mit Worten und Füßen mutig seine Meinung zu vertreten, OHNE Gewalt! Dafür ist er gefoltert und umgebracht worden, Dafür hat er auch dieses Buch - sein Vermächtnis - geschrieben! Er beschreibt seine Erlebnisse selbstreflektierend, mitunter selbstkritisch in einer mitreissenden und lebendiger Sprache.
Ein wahnsinnig wichtiges Buch mit vielen Tiefen und interessanten Hintergründen… am Ende kann man ahnend verstehen, warum er nach dem Mordversuch 2020 im Februar 2021 wieder zurück nach Russland ging - in seine geliebte Heimat.
PATRIOTen gab es schon viele … und braucht es immer noch … unterstützen wir sie, wo wir können …
