The story is very well written. Gives great insights ti the man Edward snowden.. My hat is off to him and his courage. I found the speaker exhausting... Most of the time he emphasized every word and made it hard to listen to. Wish i would have bought the German version (heard a sample of it and the speaker is much better.

Either Snowden is an extremely talented writer, or he has chosen an excellent ghostwriter. Rarely have I read such a good biography. The writing style is incredibly intimate without being boring. Many funny anecdotes from his childhood show the reader where Snowden got his values and his penchant for information technology. His life is turbulent and full of tragedies and interesting milestones (which I had never heard of before). The description of his career and his activities for the various secret services is enlightening and very easy to understand, even for non-technical people. I was horrified when I learned what secret services are technically capable of. Even more horrifying were the descriptions of Snowden's escape and the harassment he and his family had to endure. An outstanding work that touched me deeply and occasionally moved me to tears. A must-read for every alert citizen.

I'm happy that I finally read this important book. I hate gettitng forced to write the minimum of 15 words to be able to post my review. I just wanted to say that this is a great read.

Makes me hoping for the future of my grandchildren's world. The book is brilliantly written and although I certainly cannot recall the full meaning of abbreviations e.g. of all government departments, which each time were explained, I got the picture and the message. Thank you.
