phew .. I guess it never took me this long to listen through an Abby Craden narration. She did an excellent job (as always), but the story...

I'm a huge Gerri Hill fan. Her crime stories and occasional 'simple' romance novels are very enjoyable, which is why I'm so distraught by this one. It's lengthy and could have cut short by at least two hours. 2 or 5 sex scenes less wouldn't have hurt and I actually can't see why Kelly is so infatuated with Jo. Especially so early on.

Jo's jealousy stressed me out and I had to take a break from listening quite often. I just wanted to scream at her, take Kelly and ride into the sunset with her.

That said, I would not recommend this book.

The story itself is ok, but actually Jo is a little annoying at times with her jealousy. She really would need some kind of therapy in order to have a real HEA with Kelly otherwise they cannot work out in the longrun. Abby Craden did a wonderful job as narrator like always.

I loved it so much. Gerri Hill's characters are always very relatable, but Kelly was so close to me I cried with her. But I guess that's personal. I am totally hooked to GH's audio books and Abby Craden is a wonderful performer!

Ich mag die Bücher von Gerri Hill normalerweise sehr gerne, aber diese Geschichte ist einfach nur anstrengend. Das ewige hin und her, diese Eifersucht und Vertrauensprobleme und die Selbstaufgabe „Hauptsache ich habe dich überhaupt in meinem Leben, egal wie es mir dabei geht“ ist wirklich nur nervig. Ich habe mehrfach überlegt, einfach kocht weiter zu zuhören.
Und auch Abby’s Stimme klang ganz anders als sonst, irgendwie nasal und erkältet.
Wirklich schade!
