Über diesen Titel
Young Royals meets The Prince and Me when a disgraced princess falls for a new student at their all-girls boarding school, but the two must hide their forbidden love at all costs.
Princess Rosemary of Henland can’t afford distractions. She’s working tirelessly to repair her image following a scandal that lost the trust of both her country and her best friend. Unfortunately, when a beautiful and funny new student joins her boarding school, Rose finds herself quite distracted indeed.
Attending Bramppath College on a music scholarship, talented pianist Danni expects to be an outcast amongst the wealthy children of the elite, but she is pleasantly surprised to be taken in by the ex-best friend of the princess. The more Danni gets to know her new classmates, the more intrigued she becomes by Rose.
When somebody sees something they shouldn’t and rumors circulate throughout Henland, Rose and Danni must either find a way to deflect the ever-increasing eyes on their relationship, or end it altogether. Because one thing is clear: if Rose’s fragile reputation takes any more hits, the palace will do whatever they must to separate Rose and Danni. Forever.

"The story, which has no shortage of heart-fluttering moments, effectively builds in suspense that will keep readers guessing."—Kirkus Review
The one thing I wasn't happy with is how lightly everyone got off by the end. When the main conflict got to a head around chapter 40 I was basically demanding the school be sued for blatant discrimination and a front page exclusive interview about the blatant abusive behaviour going on in the palace. I mean a light threat of that happening is brought up at some point but there was too much begging accompanying it in my opinion.
Oh, and this imaginary European country at times didn't feel very Europe to me. For example, there is a couple of majority catholic countries that are fairly in favour of queer rights, under age drinking is to some extent legal in a number of countries (so Danni not just getting admonished for getting black out drunk but for having touched alcohol at all months away from her 18th birthday felt very USA) and I have a hard time imagining any boarding school here forcing students to sit through morning prayers in Latin.
But other than that I enjoyed the story a lot, will definitely listen to it again and can absolutely recommend it.
Funnier than I expected
