Very strange narrative style. The protagonist straight up “lied” to the audience.
Also all that “my husband this, my husband that” really got on my nerves.

I really liked the storytelling! There was a brilliant plot twist as we know it from Frieda McFadden‘s books and the speaker did a great job as well! The only thing I didn’t enjoy that much is that i found the story a little too long-winded.

Honestly, I have no idea how this book managed to receive such high ratings. It’s probably due to the very young target audience on “BookTok,” many of whom have likely never encountered crime novels or thrillers before and have never read a real plot twist.

Now to the book itself: The characters are all extremely one-dimensional – even though they commit horrific acts, their psychological profiles are never explored in any depth. The author deliberately lays out misleading clues from the start, which are then resolved in a cheap plot twist that makes little to no sense.

Stylistically, this book is also of very poor quality, lacking any form of humor, sophistication, or subtlety. Anyone with even a modest demand for linguistic or narrative quality should stay far away from this book. It’s a waste of time you’ll never get back.

Storyline is pretty shallow and foreseeable, doesnt get exciting or thrilling because characters arent built well. Felt like reading a story from a pupils homework, not very catching writing style. Very average liste

Durch die einfache Schreibweise sehr leicht zu lesen/hören. Die Geschichte überzeugt allerdings kaum. Die große Enthüllung am Ende ist absolut unglaubwürdig. Ich habe mehrmals gelacht, was aber so glaube ich nicht im Sinne der Autorin war.
