Abby wants a baby more than anything. But after years of failed infertility treatments and adoptions that have fallen through, it seems like motherhood is not in her future. That is, until her personal assistant Monica makes a generous offer that will make all of Abby's dreams come true. But it turns out Monica isn't who she says she is. The woman now carrying Abby's child has an unspeakable secret. And she will stop at nothing to get what she wants.

Ich habe mit gefühlt und gebangt, vorallem die letzten Kapital habe ich verschlungen und bis 4 Uhr morgens gehört.

Spannend bis zum Schluss

This is the second book I read from Freida and is definitely as creepy and interesting as the other one. Some topics are recurrent: powerful women, family, mental illness. Some things were very predictable from a bit before the half of the book but some specifics were a surprise at the end. The narrator is amazing, she really immerses you in the story. If you Freida McFadden or similar books, you should definitely read it :)

Excellent performance and text

I liked the beginning of the story but it became less gripping with time.
I don't usually complain about Freida McFadden's writing because I'm a big fan but this one just isn't her very best and leaves something to be desired for, in my opinion.

OK but not my favourite by far
