I had high expectations considering Harry and Meghan are involved in the mini-series based on this novel. I was expecting original storytelling, but there was none to be found. Here’s my summary, if you’re curious: It’s the story of a woman who creates all her life’s problems by not communicating her feelings openly and who falls for a broody tortured artist with attachment issues, who says all the things she wants to hear. After a lot of „I want to be with you, but I can’t“ they end up together, the end. Maybe Meghan liked this novel because a lot of it takes place in Toronto, but it can’t have been for the storytelling.
