The story he is telling us really interesting. Even as somebody who never thought of being a cook, his advise is really enjoyable to listen to. I consider it some kind of autobiography from the time were he was still a cook primarily. Definitely recommend.

Great book, Anthony tells his story in such an involving way that you see the scenes Infront of your eyes. His mastery of vocabulary is exceptional. His is an amazing narrator, exulting small important details which give color to his stories. He depicts himself as a macho, no bullshit man, capable of holding his liquor and drugs. It reminds me a bit to the writing of westerns, mixed with Churchill's writings.
Very fun to listen to.

Als ich das Buch zum ersten Mal gelesen habe hat es meinen Blick auf Essen komplett verändert. Anthony selber hat mich dann noch mit der Serie No Reservations begeistert und das er seine eigenes Buch vorgelesen hat macht es nur noch besser. Natürlich ist es nicht Kant oder Schiller aber er erzählt mitreisend und witzig. Ich glaube das Anthony einen großen Anteil an dem anhaltenden Trend des Foodie Trends hat und das sich durch Ihn viele Menschen mit Gerichten auseinandersetzen welche Sie vorher nicht mal wahrgenommen hätten. Absolute Empfehlung für heikle Esser ;)
