This series, as also is true for this last instalment in the Madison Kate series, had me at the edge of my seat, in mental anguish, completely failing at drawing the right conclusions about who was the stalker, what various people’s motives were and another list of things besides. This is angsty, feisty, bullying and tender all rolled into one and the final bringing together of all the missing links, all the pieces that needed clarifying has given my feverish mind a much-needed release that has been denied to me in the previous books.

I’m not sure if I want to (metaphorically) punch or kiss the author for putting me through the literary ringer like this but I can only say I hate dark romance, I hate bully romance, I hate this series, and damn, it was so good, I am sure I will listen to it over and over again. If that’s not a recommendation to definitely get it, I don’t know what is.

James Tate’s Madison Kate series is an incredible, unique and yes, dark and sinister, piece of literary art that has deserved only the highest praise!
