i would very much like to read a self help book written by a marginalised person for a change. every time i start one i realise it's been written by someone who probably hasn't experienced a single chronic or systemic problem in their entire life and that therefore i won't have much to gain from what they're saying, because they're regurgitating the same old material over and over again that only applies to specific population groups. so as this author is a painfully christian white male academic, go figure. nothing new whatsoever. but if you glaze over the privilege there are a few valuable nuggets in there. but you could find those ideas in a bunch of other places too because they're not original to this author. you can condense this book down to "build routine & discipline, set high goals, take high risks, embrace failure, take time for yourself in order to raise productivity and be strategic about what you want". there you go

Lackluster and annoying questions just asked one after another. You can tell it’s articles he threw together it doesn’t read (sound) like a book. I’d prefer another best-selling self help book like Bailey or Clear.

Dense information, much of it is intuitive and obvious, but I liked how it played together.

Gutes Buch, aber sehr basic, wie journal schreiben, dankbar sein etc.
Gut um sich dessen nochmal bewusst zu werden, für mich jedoch nichts großartig neues

Good structure and basic knowledge. Nothing new or game changing. A lot of general advise.

- eat and sleep well
- have a routine
- make your bed

In my opinion there are better books on self-improvement

The book gives the usual advices: sleep, exercise, eat healthy food, fasting, take cold shower, read books, set and work on your goals, wake up early. The author quite often refers to Tim Ferris. Didn't learn anything new and at the end of the book, it felt more like quotes from different people...

This book is nothing but a summary of other popular authors books and concepts such as Tim Ferris, Tony Robbins, Stephan Covey and such. Concepts such as Law of Attraction, positive affirmation and many other proclaimed self-help techniques are presented in a very one dimensional way. If you're interested in these topics just read the original thinkers work.
If you're like me who believes this way of thinking is way too simplistic at best an downright harmful at worst then stay away from this book.
