Experience a Fantasy LitRPG Adventure from the lead designer on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim!

A new world. An empire out to get him. He must earn Glory to survive... then thrive.

After an accident, Laran wakes up in a strange fantasy world governed by a System, with his only knowledge coming from his fiery tutorial assistant, Toot, a faerie who is more snarky than helpful.

Even worse, the Undying Empire is hunting him for reasons he doesn’t understand. That means hordes of undead soldiers, dark assassins lurking in every shadow, and worse.

The good news is that apparently he is considered a Glory Seeker here, meaning he's able augment almost anything he does by using points of Glory, a resource earned through actions in the world—heroic or villainous.

Focusing his build on Shadow Magic, Stealth, and Tinkering, Laran will make himself as impossible to catch as he is deadly. And an affinity for inventing contraptions brings him the attention of the Mechanist Guild.

The empire may be out to get him, but Laran vows to get them first. He'll learn fast, befriend worthy companions, and acquire the power necessary to destroy the lich emperor before it destroys him.

Don't miss the start of a crunchy, action-packed LitRPG Adventure by Bruce Nesmith, formerly a senior game designer for Bethesda Game Studios, a creative director for D&D, and the lead designer on Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Who better to tell this progression fantasy tale

First.. I like fast progress in a Story. But thats just a chain of not really connected Events. Its extremely rushed and way to fast. No room to enjoy or reflection. I have around 600 book and listened to All of them. But this book, is unique.. So destroyed rushed, its a pity.

The MC is a young Adult, teenageish.. But the Narrator is an old men from the graveyard? it is not fitting. he didnt has many different voices in his Box. So its kinda diffi to follow.
Due to the rushed content and a Narrator which is also quite fast in speaking, its tooo much. I played it down to 0.80 speed.. But its still not fitting.

It feels like the book was wrote by an AI, tho.

It seems like an probably good Designer isnt also a good autor.

Sorry, but try harder in the next book.

Btw. i will keep the book.. the content is not Bad. but as i said before.. Just a rush. Plots coming out of nowhere. In 1 sentence in an Inn 3 words later in an chirch and quickly after on the way to a dungeon, fighting for their survival.. wait what?!

Rushed and wrong Narrator.
