Story Starts of a bit confusing. But the Plot IS Well tought off and Fights | Character Interactions are full of Soul.
Gets a bit to streched in different directions and overloaded at the end. Not Just one Cliffhänger for Suspension, but Like ... 1 ... 2... 6 of them If i counted right.
Would have been better at a slower pace. A bit rushed at Times. But Overall a decent entry into the Genre.
The Voice actor pulla Overtime for makeing this better. Hope they get him.an extra Bonus.
Cultuvation Story with Personality

Once outside the mines it transforms into a more classical „young hero gets taught & rises to meet the challenges” cultivation story. I really liked the many hard / difficult / weird characters, that are not easy to like, but are multifaceted enough to acknowledge them.
Good voices for the different people - good voice performance overall.

I don't get the hate for the beginning of the story. I understand that this is supposed to be a cultivation story, but I don't mind listening to the beginnings of a mortal journeys to immortality.
It did a great Job in establishing the background of the MC and why he acts like he does. No blind trust, no really stupid decision makeing, if anything the MC is too adult and logical for being a 10 year old kid.
But I don't mind that, even prefer it.
if you would like to listen to a fairly low power xianxia fantasy story, with more focus on charakter and world building, than action and artifacts, then I highly recommend this.
