Informative & Thought Provoking
A heavier weighting on the historical background than I would have expected but it does put the conclusions into context and reminds us of how complex and multi-faceted European history is. I would not agree with all the observations and conclusions but the book does contain some well considered insights. Makes me look at a European map in a slightly different way.

Sehr gute Einblicke in die Europa! Amerikanisch-Arrogant, aber wahr.
Der Autor kennt sich wirklich in der Materie aus und liefert sehr gute Einblicke in die europäische Geschichte sowie die Beziehungen zwischen den einzelnen Ländern und insbesondere bzgl. der Grenzgebiete (Borderlands). Oft wird die Rolle sowie der Einfluss der USA bei Europas Problemen verharmlost oder runter geredet, aber er ist am Ende des Tages ein Amerikaner und es geht um Buch schließlich um Europa. Zur Erweiterung des Horizonts sehr zu empfehlen.
