Über diesen Titel
Out of the blue, a young Space Fleet officer's dream becomes reality: He's made captain of a starship. Just in time for the return of humanity's most terrible enemy, after 50 years of peace.
To survive against this enemy, Captain Tad Thatcher will have to do more than learn how to become an effective commander, or how to wrangle his wayward crew. He will need to reinvent space combat. From scratch.
We hope you like space battles. Buckle up for Spacers, the military sci-fi series you've been waiting for. Download this six-book box set today.
©2022 Scott Bartlett (P)2022 Scott BartlettOverall it is really idealistic, which is normal for US books. They have crazy luck non stop and nearly never pay for their mistakes because the will alone makes it happen.
Spoilers.
The space fights are in short like this.
Odds are always stacked against them. 1 to 2 or even 1 to 5 odds, it doesn't matter.
Jamming and a bit of math will win everything. The enemies are never counting in any strategy, or even the abilities of each ship, they just head straight in.
The commander is really full of himself.
He has a middle sized ship but there is no other ship which can stand against his tactics.
Kinda takes all the tension out of the encounters.
The CEO is micro managing till the Frontline. I don't know which company leader would leave their company alone for months. It kinda makes no sense. Since there is no direct instant communication everything takes forever, how is the company even running.
She gets pissed if anyone tells her the most basic things, but on the other side she also learns from the mistakes, but why make them to begin with, it's not like she is CEO since yesterday.
Really didn't like her death and still surviving, unnecessary.
Overall it's a bit annoying that thatcher leads everyone and wins everything. Boring!
Unkillable genius
