Over 1 million Discworld audiobooks sold – discover the extraordinary universe of Terry Pratchett’s Discworld like never before.

'Sorry?' said Carrot. If it's just a thing, how can it commit murder? A sword is a thing' - he drew his own sword; it made an almost silken sound - 'and of course you can't blame a sword if someone thrust it at you, sir.'

For Commander Vimes, Head of Ankh-Morpork City Watch, life consists of troubling times, linked together by...well, more troubling times.

Right now, it's the latter. There's a werewolf with pre-lunar tension in the city, and a dwarf with attitude and a golem who's begun to think for itself, but that's just ordinary trouble. The real problem is more puzzling - people are being murdered, but there's no trace of anything alive having been at the crime scene.

So Vimes not only has to find out whodunit, but howdunit too. He's not even sure what they dun. But soon as he knows what the questions are, he's going to want some answers.

The Discworld novels can be listened to in any order but Feet of Clay is the third book in the City Watch series.

Feet of Clay is one of the best discworld books and has been one of my favorite books since I first read it. This book has everything that makes the watch series great. I love the new recruits, the old member shine, the commentary is on point, the mysterys are intriguing. Just a perfect book, superbly read. 5/5

John Culshaw again brings lots of different characters of all species, ages and genders to life so greatly you feel like you stand next to it. The introduction of serious topics happens seamlessly next to philosophy and jokes. Only downside is people erste at me for laughing out loud for minutes on the train.

Love the expansion of Ankh-Morpork Life

This is one of Sir Terry's most mindful books about social inequality, self acceptance and being an ally to minorities. The character of Cherie Littlebottom has always been one of my favourites: a female dwarf that just wants to be a dwarf and a female. It seems incredible to me that the characterization of dwarfs as all looking male that was invented for a joke initially turned out to be a source of a heartwarming character arc of self-discovery and acceptance. The scene where a second female dwarf is curious about trying on some makeup brought a tear to my eyes.
The voice acting once again was wonderful - all in all a great way to rediscover one of my favourite Discworld novels.

A thirty year old book written for today

I love Pratchett books; have listened to all of them; I had heard this one before too, but didn’t find it in my audible library, so cannot recall if it was by Steven Briggs(?) - anyways, the speaker of this one ruined the fun of the book for me; characters are spoken in a too broken, dark, tired, seriously disillusioned style for my taste (what I feel Pratchett books are about)

Speaker totally changed the vibe of the book

Generally great, as most Pratchett novels. But the producers thought it would be a good idea to not only have the narrator do different voices (which he’s great at!), but also accents, mumbling and slurry pronunciation. It is really hard to understand sometimes. And as Pratchett‘s novels tend to be complex and deep, this doesn’t help at all to keep track of what’s going on. Don’t know if I’ll get another one, although those involving The Watch are my favorite ones.

Often quite hard to understand
