I just love the discworld. Only until now, I didn't quite like listening to it in English (I'm german) although I prefer to read them untranslated. Dunno why, the feeling was wrong.
But now, I'm just loving to listen to this. Peter Serafinowiczs's DEATH is absolutely fabulous, Sian Clifford reads really good (no feeling of reading a bedtime story to children) and hey, even the footnotes get read by great Bill Nighy.
I want mote of that!!!

I recently finished reading Tarry Prattchet's book Hogfather and was absolutely blown away by the work. It is a classic tale of faith and hope, with a unique and inspiring perspective on the human condition. The story follows a very classical motiv of faith in the little things in order to believe in bigger illusions such as justice and mercy.

Tarry Prattchet is a master storyteller, and this book is no exception. His writing is captivating, with vivid imagery and deep, thought-provoking themes. He takes on an ambitious task of exploring the nature of faith and hope, and does so in a way that is both engaging and meaningful.

Hogfather is a powerful and moving story that will stay with you long after you finish it. It is a unique take on the human condition that will leave you with a greater understanding of yourself and of the world around you. Highly recommended!

Man merkt, dass die Sprecher nicht gemeinsam im Studio waren. Dadurch verliert der Erzählfluss sehr an Dynamik. Die „alten“ Versionen sind trotz weniger guten Audioqualität bei weitem besser.

Terry Pratchett ist wie immer wunderbar.

...sieht es eben aus wie in dieser feinen Geschichte. Es geht drunter und drüber und es sind so tolle Charaktere dabei wie Tod, Susan Sto Helit, seine Enkelin, die Zauberer der Un- sichtbaren Universität und viele andere lustige, fiese oder auch einfach nur menschliche Personen. Die tiefe der Psyche und ihr Einfluss auf die schönen und auch schlechten Dinge des Daseins kann der Zuhörer hier erahnen oder auch mit Volldampf in die Ohren gestopft bekommen. Das Erlebnis ist es wert.

Tempted by the season of hohoho to read something lighter and festive, I dug into the Christmas season in the discworld. Its called Hogwatch and the Hogfather always delivers the gifts - except in this year. Since he’s disappeared, a very unexpected individual tries to make up for him and adventures ensue …

Fun, questioning but in parts a bit too dated for me,I can imagine this nevertheless being popular

The only little small complaint I have, is the way Igor and Gaspode are interpreted .. maybe it‘th me being uthed to Thtephen Briggth reading … I liked that a lot better. But apart from that it’s very well performed and a joy to listen to :-)

I love the book and all of Terry Pratchett's work, that is out of question, but unfortunately I am very unhappy with Sian Clifford as the narrator. Her voice is rather shrill and difficult to listen to. The various characters do not come across well. Stephen Briggs has always managed this so much better. I loved his way of reading.

Bill Nighy and Peter Serafinowicz do a great job, but every time they are on, you wish one of them had read the whole book.

So please audible get the publishing rights for the Stephen Briggs version. Thank you guys.

Please, bring back Stehpen Briggs.

Gegen die Neuauflage selbst wäre ja nichts einzuwenden wenn die bisherige Version weiter verfügbar wäre.
Mir persönlich gefällt diese Interpretation leider überhaupt nicht.
