When this newest installment of the Peter-Grant-saga came out I bought it in print, read and enjoyed it. Having read and listened to all the previous books of the series I even kind of heard it already in my internal ear when reading it.

But now for a da capo I got in audio for real and it is just .. more. Performed by Kobra Holbrook-Smith this very good book - a new high-light for the series - becomes brilliant.

An added bonus was the joint interview with the author and the performer ad the end.

Really liked the story, also we get to know more about the Rivers. Looking forward to the next book, there is a huge Cliffhanger in the end.

i heard there's a TV series in the making and really hope they give Kobna Holdbrook Smith the Peter Grant role. Can't imagine anither voice with Peter Grant.

Narrator gives so much life to these books

Wieder ein amüsanter und kurzweiliger Roman der Peter-Grant-Reihe. Wer auf der Suche nach klugem Witz, einer Prise Fantasy und einem Krimi ist, der nicht mit Platitüden daherkommt, ist hier richtig.
Eine schwer zu findende Mischung, die fast ebenso speziell ist, wie einzigartigen Bücher von Douglas Adams. Dazu der großartige Sprecher - absolut hörenswert!

I used to read the books, but once I heard the velvet tones of this particular reader, I never went back. This plot was full of twists (as always), I love the development of characters - by now they feel like old friends. Can only recommend.

Still my favorite series.
