How do you catch a killer, when all your suspects know how to get away with murder?

THE HIGHLY ANTICIPATED FOLLOW-UP TO 2022'S MOST ORIGINAL MURDER MYSTERY, EVERYONE IN MY FAMILY HAS KILLED SOMEONE

When the Australian Mystery Writers' Society invited me to their crime-writing festival aboard the Ghan, the famous train between Darwin and Adelaide, I was hoping for some inspiration for my second book. Fiction, this time: I needed a break from real people killing each other. Obviously, that didn't pan out.

The program is a who's who of crime writing royalty:

the debut writer (me!)

the forensic science writer

the blockbuster writer

the legal thriller writer

the literary writer

the psychological suspense writer.

But when one of us is murdered, six authors quickly turn into five detectives. Together, we should know how to solve a crime.

Or commit one...

Kritikerstimmen

'Clever, satisfying, impossible to put down and gloriously inventive. It's fantastic.' (Stuart Turton)

'An outstanding and exceptional mystery from start to finish...everything fans would hope for.' (Jane Harper)

'Sparkling with wit and witticisms about the world of writers and writing, Everyone on This Train Is a Suspect offers a tip of the hat to the great Agatha Christie novel while at the same time being a modern reinvention of it. Leave it to Stevenson to make high-jinx and murder deviously good fun.' (Nita Prose)

The much anticipated follow-up to “Everyone in my family has killed someone” follows accidental bestselling author Ernest Cunningham on a book tour on the famous Ghan train journey through the heart of the Australian outback. When someone (inevitably) gets murdered, the trapped group of crime writers is well placed to both commit and analyse/ solve the crime. Nothing and nobody is quite what they seem and Ernest has to overcome his natural cockiness to actually see what’s happening. Not quite as brilliant as the first book but still very irreverent, clever, fun and great as an audiobook!

Excellent follow-up crime story

If your ears are immune to what is in all likelyhood the worst Scottish accent you’ve heard in a long time and you do not wish to claw your eyes out upon hearing the Aussie pronounciation of “assume” a gazillion times (ash-shoe-mm), then this is the book for you.
Brilliantly plotted, deliciously dark and humorous, this was such a fun read!
If you can guess who did it early on, you are my kind of people.

All aboard the murder train

Nach "everyone in my family has killed someone" erneut ein wundervoll erfrischender Ernest Cunningham Roman. Mindestens genauso gut wie der erste Teil

erfrischend, lustig, spannend
