Sebastian York wie immer top of the top Sprecher. Maxine Mitchell fand ich in diesem Titel auch richtig gut, besonders ihre männliche Interpretation.
Die Story fand ich persönlich bis auf ein zwei Logik-Ausnahmen erstaunlich gut, eigentlich nicht groß aufregend aber aufgrund der komplex ausgearbeiteten Charaktere mal etwas tiefgründiger.

This audiobook ❤❤❤...is sooo beautiful!! I ❤️ ed it so much! It was perfect 💘. The story, the lovable characters (Macon and Delilah), the writing, the storylines, funny situations and dialogues, the beautifully crafted plot and pacing is just BRILLIANT! And the romance....💓💓💓...it's to fall in love with 🥰.
I really fell in love with this story and the Audiobook. This is my first from the author Kristen Callihan. This wouldn't be the last and I'll look for her other audiobooks. She writes so good and beautiful. This-enemies-to-lovers romance is one of THE BEST. It's funny, it's angsty slowburn (made me giddy), it's emotional and it's heartwarming.
The narrators Sebastian York and Maxine Mitchell, flawless voice acting and narration. Especially Maxine who really stood out with her performance. She made me teary, she made me laugh, and she simply amazed me with her voice-acting.
I loved everything about this audiobook and I 100% recommend this. A MUST LISTEN!

Best contemporary romance this year 2020

Perhaps I’ve simply read or listened to too many stories of this kind. The narrators, as always, deliver a solid performance; that isn’t the issue.
However, the book itself isn’t one that held my interest throughout.
Spending hours listening to the female protagonist repeatedly cast herself as a martyr while attempting to compensate for the questionable actions of her foolish, unreliable sister becomes tiresome.
The central theme is explored at excessive length, which ultimately undermines the development of the romance between the two main characters.
While the first half is engaging, the second half grows increasingly slow and lacks momentum.

Although the book is competently written, it does not create a strong desire to immediately pick up another book by this author.

Vielleicht habe ich schon zuviele Geschichten dieser Art konsumiert.
Die Sprecher machen, wie immer, einen guten Job, daran liegt's nicht, dass das Buch nicht zu denen gehört, die ich ewig weiter hören wollte.
Wie die weibliche Protagonistin Märtyrerin spielt und die fragwürdigen Handlungen der bescheuerten, unzuverlässigen Schwester auszubaden versucht? Dem stundenlang zuzuhören nervt.
Nicht mein Ding, das Thema wird zu lange durchgekaut, was der Entwicklung der Romanze zwischen den beiden Protagonisten abträglich ist. Die erste Hälfte war noch gut, danach wurde es nicht spannender, sondern reichlich zäh.

Obwohl nicht schlecht geschrieben, erweckt die Geschichte nicht das dringende Bedürfnis, gleich das nächste Buch der Autorin lesen zu müssen.
