Die Genre typische Geschichte mit einer interessanten Mischung aus Tech und Magie.
Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Tiefgang gewünscht, manche Passagen wirken hastig erzählt. Ein bisschen mehr Background Story wäre auch nicht schlecht gewesen.

Nur der Sprecher ist extrem schlecht. wäre nicht die Story sehr spannend, hatte ich nach der ersten Stunde aufgegeben. Irgendwann gewöhnt man sich an den Sprecher.

The world-building and to some degree the magic system in the book are decently interesting, providing a somewhat unique backdrop that has potential. However, the story is let down by its lack of intriguing characters. Tailyn, the main character, has motivations that feel flat and underdeveloped, which might be forgivable given that he is only ten years old. However, since we experience about 90% of the book from his perspective, this leads to a rather dull narrative. The result is a story that I found to be unengaging.
Regarding the narration, I thought the reader was good, though I’m generally not very critical when it comes to narration and am pretty much fine with anything in that regard.

Not particularly good, but not particularly bad either.
