I really enjoyed this series in the beginning. But as I had been burned by this author before, I was hesitant to start another series. Hoping I would be proved wrong, I started the "Last Life" series only to be let down once again. Same scheme as before: the author actually seems to have a great amount of talent7inspiration i the beginning ... but as soon as one of his works takes off, he either doesn't have a plan on where to take the story of just decides to cash out: this book was less interesting than watching paint dry. gone are the intrigues from the beginning, the cunning, the manipulation.... when you can skip 60 minutes without missing anything - that's all you need to know. After having a similar experience with his "Mirror World", I was hesitant but still willing to give him a chance. Imagine ordering a new car and then have the clerk lecturing you about every groove in the tire profile... this i what you get. the promise for a great joyride only to be told again and again that due to bad weather (and for them to milk you as much as possible), you will have to take the long way to get to the summit... again.... and again.... no thank you - added to blocked authors (more and more as it seems that LITRPG seems to be the new cash cow to milk idiots with :( )
