Über diesen Titel

From the best-selling author of the Mistborn series and Words of Radiance comes Calamity, the final book in the New York Times best-selling Reckoners series. What started in the instant number-one New York Times best seller Steelheart and continued in the instant number-one New York Times best seller Firefight now concludes in Calamity.

When Calamity lit up the sky, the Epics were born. David's fate has been tied to their villainy ever since that historic night. Steelheart killed his father. Firefight stole his heart. And now Regalia has turned his closest ally into a dangerous enemy.

David knew Prof's secret and kept it even when Prof struggled to control the effects of his Epic powers. But facing Obliteration in Babilar was too much. Once the Reckoners' leader, Prof has now embraced his Epic destiny. He's disappeared into those murky shadows of menace Epics are infamous for the world over, and everyone knows there's no turning back....

But everyone is wrong. Redemption is possible for Epics - Megan proved it. They're not lost. Not completely. And David is just about crazy enough to face down the most powerful High Epic of all to get his friend back. Or die trying.

Well, the Reckoners is/was a great series with an original take on the super hero genre. Very descriptive, action packed and entertaining. I was a dissapointed by the ending, it was a little anticlimactic but that is just my point of view and I still think the series is worth reading. The Narration of the audiobook was excellent.

Spectacular but sadly botched at the very end.

I love Sanderson's books and have read/listened most of them twice. But this series - while it has a solid start with the first book - got less and less interesting for me as the story progressed. I feel like other series of his got way more character development and sometimes a special kind of humor while here it start's nicely then becomes more dull.
When Davids 50th awkard metaphore has arrived is long past being funny or proving the point hes bad at them... its just plain boring/annoying.

Skyward's conversations & humor as a contrast are so wonderful & lively, those two books bad me laughing out loud a couple times. Those books kept me interested, Spensa also starts questioning her beliefs and changes over time while David stays the same guy.

It's not all bad of course, it's still Sanderson and there's plenty of good stuff in book 2 and 3. MacLeod also does a really good job reading the books.
