Loved the whole series!
As a white person from Germany it made me ashamed to learn how bad the discrimination against African Americans still is. Makes me mad against any kind of discrimination. We have our share in Germany too!
Loved to get the insights this series provides.
It will definitely affect the way I’m talking to my neighbours who are persons of colour.

The protagonist, Blanche White deserves all the spotlight she gets in this book. Centering a mystery novel around a Black, working class, dark skinned middle aged woman is a perspective much, much needed. Aside of that, weaving political realities into a good crime novel makes it all the more real and imaginable. Highly recommend!
