A village of secrets finds its past lies waiting.

When mourners gather in the village of Lower Gladdock, the grave is found to be already occupied. The victim is soon linked to a tragedy that tore the village apart five years ago and is handed over to the Bexford police to solve.

Detective Sergeant Guy Poole is hoping to put his traumatic past behind him and settle into his new station at Bexford. Now history is threatening to raise its head again, and he has a murder case to contend with.

This is excellent light entertainment. It has everything i expect from a thriller. All sorts of likeable and disgusting characters, an interesting setting and a little bit of humor. And it is excellently read.

Ich war rundum zufrieden. Spannend, ohne brutal zu sein. Interessante Figuren. Mal traurig mal lustig. Ein idealer Krimi zum Abschalten.

Es macht Spaß, die Charaktere kennenzulernen und ich freue mich auf das Fortschreiben von deren Geschichte. Die Handlung ist für mich interessant und in sich stimmig.

This feels like a little old fashioned mystery, however set in modern times. The characters are likeable, and I really enjoy the read pergormance

It was on audible plus and often I’m lucky but this one didn’t work for me: too plodding, obvious and formulaic. I read it so you don’t have to!
