Featuring: a fantastic world-building, an unique magical concept, the absolute blueprint for an unlikely bromance. The only jarring thing would be how Ciani (the main female character) is written, underdeveloped and flat character being the worst possible portrayal of a female I ever read in this genre. Thankfully the male characters: Damien, from whose sometimes sardonic perspective we follow the story or a phenomenally written Gerald Tarrant aboslutelly making up for it. The reading itself at times is overly dramatic, but still well interprets the text and characters
