Victoria Barnett has it all: a great career as a nurse practitioner, a handsome and loving husband, a beautiful home in the suburbs, and a plan to fill it with children. Life is perfect—or so it seems. Then she’s in a terrible accident...and everything falls apart. Now Victoria is unable to walk. She can’t feed or dress herself. She can’t even speak. She is confined to the top floor of her house with 24-hour care.

Sylvia Robinson is hired by Victoria’s husband to help care for her. But it turns out Victoria isn’t as impaired as Sylvia was led to believe. There’s a story Victoria desperately wants to tell...if only she could get the words out. Then Sylvia discovers Victoria’s diary hidden away in a drawer. And what’s inside is shocking.

At the beginning I thought this is gonna be like The Housemaid, but it wasnt at all.
There are a few twists I didnt see coming, the only thing that I didnt like was the timespan needed to read the diary.

Good Twist

I love to listen to her stories. Always a twist and the whole story is perfectly written exciting and I can't stop listening and always sad when it ends.

Another Masterpiece of Freida McFadden

Red nearly all the books,Without exception for me this author is a real Artist. It's Not enternaining, it's about letting the stories live in yourself. And they are givining you life experience or are resinating with your iwn life!

Every time Hearing at it's best!

Plot war spannend , an die Sprecherin muss man sich erst gewöhnen . Wird aber besser mit der Zeit

Spannender Plot

The author is masterful at timing the release of the nuggets that drive the plot. Although her characters ultimately remain flat, she lets them flip flop time and again. They dance on the over-engineered cogs of a plot that is as complex and spectacular as it is eventually empty and sensational. I’m a bit relieved that I do not feel the need to follow up with one more such text.

A Slick Machine
