I’ve been listening to my father sing for my whole life. I carry him in my pocket on my MP3 player. It’s just that we’ve never met face to face.

My mother would never tell me how I came to be, or why my rock star father and I have never met. I thought it was her only secret. I was wrong.

When she dies, he finally appears. Suddenly I have a first-class ticket into my father’s exclusive world. A world I don’t want any part of - not at this cost.

I really loved the story. Of course, there were many moments when I thought: “Oh man, please just talk to each other!”. But I can understand it. When your emotions are tangled up inside you and you don't know what to do because you're afraid of losing even more than you already have, it's only natural to hesitate. I think everyone can understand the fear of making a mistake and pushing someone away as a result of it.
For me, the story is about relationships - between friends, between lovers, between a parent and their child. It was complicated, messy and sometimes sad, but they still managed it somehow and built something good.
Not giving up on someone, even when it's difficult, is something that many people seem to have unlearned nowadays.
