I have never read books like these before. All of Lucinda‘s books are great reads, but this series tops it all and the final one - although containing some far-stretched coincidences and a few weaknesses - is the well-rounded ending it needed. Cudos, Harry&Lucinda R.I.P.

Wenn ich ganz ehrlich bin… Ich habe mit der Serie nur begonnen, weil Richard Armitage den letzten Teil von Pa Salt liest und er hat – nicht unerwartet – meine Erwartungen übertroffen. Er ist ein phantastischer Sprecher und schafft es mit seiner Stimme Bilder in meinem Kopf entstehen zu lassen. In Pa Salts dunklen Stunden war ich manchmal fast den Tränen nah und in seinen glücklichen Momenten konnte ich mich lachend mit ihm freuen! Unglaublich gut! Und auch T. Middleton hat mir gut gefallen!
Im letzten Teil dieser Serie kommt noch einmal alles zusammen. Pa Salt führt uns mit Hilfe seines Tagebuchs durch sein sehr bewegtes Leben und erzählt von glücklichen Begegnungen, harten Schicksalsschlägen, schweren Verlusten und der Kunst trotz allem nie die Hoffnung zu verlieren.

7 Bände der seven sister Reihe im Sommer 2023 verschlungen und dann mit "Atlas- the Story of Pa Salt" das Hörbuch entdeckt. Einfach herrlich! Die Handlung um die sieben Schwestern, dem Anwalt Georg Hoffman, Claudia und Ma, wird erweitert und überraschend gerundet, Pa Salts Tagebuch und seine frühe Kindheit in Russland führen zum großen Finale von Atlas. H. Whittaker hat den achten und letzten Roman sehr, sehr spannend fortgeführt und Audible hat geniale Sprecher
ausgewählt. T. Middleton liest die Frauen hervorragend und Richard Armitage ist der beste aller Sprecher, da er den russischen Akzent von Kreeg Eszu perfekt beherrscht und dem Hörer im Gespräch auf der "Titan" höchstes Hörvernügen bereitet. Er kann aber viel, viel mehr und die 25 Stunden Hörbuch kommen einem sehr kurzweilig vor, da beide Sprecher äußerst variabel sind.
Am überraschenden Ende des Romans sind fast alle Fragen beantwortet, nur ein Thema bleibt offen, der erfahrene Hörer kann sich aber das offene Ende ausmalen. Insgesamt ein ganz großes Hörbuch!

All in all this last book of the series didn't disappoint, extremely well narrated, very well written and draws one into the story, I would definetely recommend and also buy it again.
Unfortunately the background story of Pa Salt, which shall explain it all, made me rather angry. I find it very hard to believe and found it difficult to swallow. That part was very disappointing. The way its woven in with the adoptions and everything around them is very befitting and again, a joy to listen to.

I cried all the way

Der Sohn hat seiner Mutter alle Ehre gemacht. Ich war gebannt von der ersten Minute bis zum Schluss. Auch stilistisch gab es wenig Änderungen, auch hier erfolgte ein Wechsel zwischen Gegenwart und Vergangenheit.
Inhaltlich wurden alle losen Enden geschlossen, alle Fragen beantwortet ohne logischen Bruch. Ich fand das Buch wundervoll

To begin with, the reader has the most amazing voice, speach, diction and pronunciation. My partner who has no idea about the story and is an English beginner whould ask le to listen to this story with him whenever we found the time, as he could understand every singe word.
The story really holds up yo all expectations and I just can't believe the saga is over - I finished it today and feel a void + a cluelessness as to whatbto lisyen to next!
I highly recommend listening to the story of Pa Salt!

The most wonderful book ever

I don't have the words to describe how I feel. I was sucked into the story and was hooked from the very first word. Harry Whittaker has gracefully completed his mother's work. It was as interesting and thrilling as all the other books.
So, I have to restart the books all over again, to catch the details and refresh the stories.
I am glad I came across this series.
