ON YOUR KNEES, LADIES…
You’d think an award-winning actress would have seen and experienced it all—and I have. But eventually, the lifestyle of the rich and the famous begins to take its toll.
Fame becomes exhausting, and pretending becomes a requirement.
Hollywood presents nothing more than an illusion of happiness, and now I find myself searching for an escape.
Levi Castiel. That man...
From the moment his blue eyes met mine, I was done for. He sucked the air from my lungs, and instead of leaving me to suffocate under the strain, he gave me his.
I became addicted to his high, obsessed. I just didn't realize that he felt the same way about me, times two, and now we're far more than mere strangers passing in the night.
I need them, and they want me.
But like everything in life, our love comes at a cost.
The question is, who can afford to pay the price?
I suppose we’ll have to find out, won’t we?
What happens in Vegas... Well, you know the rest...
The Gentlemen by Jacklyn Parker is A Dark MFM Dancer Romance. There are scenes of a violent and sexual nature in this story. Therefore, it is intended for listeners of 18+ years. Please take note of the trigger warnings.
©2025 Jacklyn Parker (P)2026 Jacklyn ParkerThe moment I realized this was Lucas and Levi’s story, I was already sold. And then I found out it’s a why choose? Yeah… I was in heaven.
Like the previous books, this one is fast-paced. At this point, it’s almost funny how quickly they all end up married, usually in a slightly drunken state. And yet… it works.
What usually throws me off in other books is how instantly obsessed the characters are with each other. I often find myself questioning it. What do they actually love about each other? Where is it coming from? But in this series? It just feels natural.
Of course they’re obsessed. Of course they fall fast. Of course they get married.
There’s something about the way Jacklyn Parker writes it that makes it feel effortless and unquestionable. It’s not forced. It just is. And I loved that.
I laughed so much watching Levi and Lucas fall for the same woman, each knowing her under a different identity. Lucas knew her as Tessa, Levi as Evie. And the reveal? No unnecessary drama, no drawn-out conflict. Just… acceptance. It was so refreshing, especially during my stressful exam phase.
And chapter 34…
Yeah. Let’s just say I envied her. A lot. 😉
Even though the triggers are listed at the beginning, nothing could have fully prepared me for chapter 41. The way that scene was written was incredibly intense. The warning right before it was so appreciated, because that moment truly shook me.
It felt like being inside Tessa’s head. The thoughts, the inner conflict, the way she tried to reason with herself… it was raw and deeply emotional. I had goosebumps, I was crying, and even though I knew what was coming, it still hit hard. Savannah Thomas delivered that scene in a way that completely pulled me in. I felt everything. She had me in a chokehold, building the tension until the very end. She deserves recognition for that performance.
And James Cassidy? I honestly had to double-check if it was the same narrator as in the first book. His voice felt completely different in the best way. The range, the depth… I was seriously impressed.
Together, Savannah and James added so much life to the story. The small details like laughs, breaths, sighs, and those subtle sounds made everything feel more real, more intimate. I don’t know if that was direction or their own choice, but it made a difference.
So…when’s the next book? 😌
Wow!
