The founder of the international Transition Towns movement asks why true creative, positive thinking is in decline, asserts that it's more important now than ever, and suggests ways our communities can revive and reclaim it.

There are an infinite number of possible futures that lie ahead of us—like threads stretching out into the distance. Rob Hopkins, cofounder of the international Transition Network movement, invites us to travel to future worlds we would actually want to live in.

Meet Hilda: explorer, adventurer, avid sketchbook-keeper, friend to almost every creature in the valley, and star of her very own Netflix show. Dive into this immersive multi-voice 3D audio adventure as Hilda encounters her very first troll, negotiates peace with some rather pernickety elves and reunites two lovelorn ancient giants.

In the sixth audiobook starring our blue-haired heroine, Hilda has to rescue her mum from a two-headed troll. Along the way, there are rock-eating slugs, fearsome vikings, an airship crash and a cute baby troll.

In this fifth audiobook, funny things are happening at sea so Hilda packs her adventuring satchel and sets sail to find out why ships keep disappearing near Cauldron Island. Will she get to the bottom of the mystery or end up at the bottom of the ocean? Meanwhile, back on land, an old acquaintance has taken over a windmill and promised she's turned over a new leaf, but can she be trusted?

Surviving the Future is a story drawn from the fertile ground of the late David Fleming's extraordinary Lean Logic: A Dictionary for the Future and How to Survive It. That hardback consists of 404 interlinked dictionary entries, inviting listeners to choose their own path through its radical vision. Recognizing that Lean Logic's sheer size and unusual structure can be daunting, Fleming's long-time collaborator Shaun Chamberlin has selected and edited one of these potential narratives to create Surviving the Future.
