• How to Keep Going When Life Keeps Interrupting
    Jan 26 2026

In Episode 2, Felicia and Christalyn talk about what to do when life interrupts your routines and goals. If you’ve been telling yourself, “I fell off again,” or beating yourself up for not staying consistent, this episode is for you.

We’re talking about how to keep going with real life happening without shame, guilt, or the pressure to start over every time something doesn't go as planned.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Why everyday interruptions (kids out of school, busy seasons, schedule changes) can throw you off more than you expect
    • The spiraling self-talk that shows up after the interruption (“I should be able to handle this,” “I’m failing,” “here I go again”)
    • Why so many women isolate when they feel overwhelmed, and how that keeps things heavier
    • The difference between restarting and resuming (and why resuming can feel “messy,” but healthier)
    • How perfectionism shows up as procrastination, freezing, and “waiting for Monday”
    • What survival mode, decision fatigue, and the invisible load look like in real life
    • Asking for help sooner, before you’re drowning (practical examples included)
    • A faith reminder from Philippians 1:6 when you feel behind or discouraged

    Fuel for the Road Ahead:

    • Takeaway: When life interrupts, don’t reset your whole life, resume with one small step at a time.
    • Reflection Question: When life interrupts again, what would it look like to respond differently?

  • The Beauty of Letting Life Be Simple: Easing Into Your Year Without the Hustle
    Jan 19 2026

Welcome back to Trusting Her Journey. Season 2 is here!

In this first episode of the season, Felicia and Christalyn are starting the year a little differently. No pressure to “reset.” No rushing. No pretending you’re not already tired.

This conversation is for the woman who loves God, is trying her best, and still feels like she’s carrying too much. We’re talking about what it can look like to let life be simple; not because you’re settling, but because you’re choosing clarity, peace, and alignment over performance.

    In this episode, we cover:

    • Why “simple” doesn’t mean small, it can be sacred
    • How doing more can become a way to prove worth (even spiritually)
    • The cost of staying in survival mode and why slowing down helps your nervous system
    • Why Jesus modeled rest, limits, and stepping away
    • How to tell when something is taking more out of you than you realize
    • Psalm 46:10 “Be still and know that I am God.”

Quick clarification: In the episode, we mention that Jesus “couldn’t” be present for everyone all the time. What we meant is that He didn’t. Yes, He could have spent all of His time teaching, healing, and doing miracles, but Scripture shows that He often withdrew to be alone and pray (Luke 5:16). He chose rest, and had limits in His earthly ministry, and that example matters.

    Fuel for the Road Ahead:
    Reflection questions:

    1. What am I negotiating with myself about?
    2. What feels unnecessarily heavy right now?

One small step: Pick one part of your day and slow your body down on purpose for 60 seconds. (Pause in the car, drop your shoulders, unclench your jaw, take one slow breath before you respond.)

  • Protecting Your Peace During the Holidays
    Nov 24 2025

The holidays aren’t always joyful. Sometimes they come with pressure, expectations, and a lot of invisible emotional weight.

In this mini-episode, Felicia and Christalyn pause before Season 2 to check-in, share their own family traditions, and offer guidance for navigating the season without losing yourself.

    Inside this conversation:

    • The truth about holiday stress and why this time of year feels heavier than it looks, especiall for high-achieving women.
    • How we each shape (and simplify) our Thanksgiving and Christmas plans
    • Why it’s okay if you need more quiet, more space, or fewer commitments this year
    • Choosing one non-negotiable that keeps you steady in a busy week
    • Practical boundaries for your time, energy, and emotional capacity
    • How to handle uncomfortable questions, expectations, or old family dynamics
    • A reminder that joy doesn’t have to look big — small, simple moments count too

    Fuel for the Road Ahead:
Before the holiday rhythm picks up, ask yourself:
What do I need this season, and am I willing to honor that?

🎧 Listen now and give yourself permission to move into the week with clarity, calm, and compassion for your own limits.

Season 2 is coming soon, and we can’t wait to grow with you.

  • Why Healing Leaves You Exhausted: How to Truly Rest
    Sep 8 2025

Life doesn’t just burn us out at work, it burns us out when we keep trying to “fix” ourselves too.

In this Season 1 finale of Trusting Her Journey, Christalyn and Felicia talk about a kind of exhaustion few women name out loud: self-help burnout. The pressure to keep reading, journaling, watching, and healing can feel never-ending—and leave you just as drained as overworking.

    Inside this conversation:

    • Why rest is more than naps, spa days, or vacations (and how to recognize when your soul is tired, not just your body).
    • The hidden pressure of constant self-improvement and why “working on yourself” can become another way to prove your worth.
    • The difference between consuming wisdom and actually integrating it into your life.
    • Practical tools for creating boundaries with yourself and practicing real rest.
    • How to see rest as obedience, worship, and a way to let God do what only He can do.

    Fuel for the Road Ahead:
Before you add another book, podcast, or strategy, pause and ask: Where have I been trying to prove I’m okay instead of resting in the truth that I already am?

🎧 Listen now and take the pressure off proving you’re “enough.” You already are.

  • Tired of Second-Guessing Every Decision?
    Sep 1 2025

Life gets heavy when second-guessing becomes your default. From overanalyzing every choice to replaying decisions long after you’ve made them, it’s easy to wonder: Am I really allowed to trust myself again?

In this episode of Trusting Her Journey, we talk about what it looks like to rebuild confidence and stop outsourcing your decisions to everyone else. Whether you’re replaying past mistakes, comparing your choices to others, or waiting for a cosign before moving forward, this conversation will help you practice permission—permission to trust your own wisdom again.

    • You’ll hear real stories, honest struggles, and practical tools to help you
    • Recognize how second-guessing shows up in your everyday life
    • Name the fears that keep you stuck in doubt
    • Practice small “reps” of self-trust without waiting for perfection
    • Anchor your confidence in God’s wisdom, not endless approva

We’ll also name the quiet patterns many women overlook:
✨ Why waiting for five cosigns feels safer—but keeps you stuck
✨ How comparison makes you question your own wisdom
✨ Why past mistakes don’t disqualify you from future trust
✨ The difference between inspiration and comparison—and why one builds confidence while the other tears it down

💡 Fuel for the Road Ahead:
Self-trust doesn’t mean you’ll never make a mistake. It means believing God is with you, even if things don’t turn out perfectly—and trusting you’re strong enough to adjust, recover, and move forward.

    💭 Reflection Question:
Where have you been abandoning your own wisdom? And what’s one way you can return to it this week?

  • When You’re Always the One Giving More
    Aug 18 2025

We talk a lot about showing up for others. When you’re the one who always gives, shows up, and carries the weight, what happens when no one shows up for you?

In this episode of Trusting Her Journey, we get real about what over-giving is really costing you and why it feels so hard to stop. We unpack:

    • Why over-giving creates one-sided relationships that leave you drained
    • The hidden fears that make you keep pouring even when your cup is empty
    • How disappointment, resentment, and even grief sneak in when you keep giving more than you get
    • A healthier way to see love and strength, one that makes space for rest, help, and mutual care

✨ Fuel for the Road Ahead:
Just because you can carry it all doesn’t mean you should. Let go of what drains you so you can finally receive the love and support you’ve been praying for.

    💭 Reflection Question:
Where are you giving out of fear of being unseen, instead of love that flows freely?

    👉🏽 One Small Step:
This week, choose one way to show up for yourself the same way you show up for others, no apologizing, no guilt. But what happens when no one shows up for you?

  • Setting Boundaries Without Guilt (Why Doing What’s Best Still Hurts)
    Aug 11 2025

We talk a lot about setting boundaries.
But not enough people talk about what happens after.

➤ What do you do when guilt shows up unexpectedly?
➤ When someone you love pushes back?
➤ When choosing peace feels heavier than people-pleasing ever did?

In this episode of Trusting Her Journey, we’re talking about the part no one prepares you for: the emotional aftermath of boundary work.

We’re naming the hard, unspoken parts:

The grief no one warned you about

The guilt that shows up even when you’re doing what’s right

The silence you feel when others don’t celebrate your growth

    The truth is:
You might not be feeling guilty.
You might be grieving the version of you who was always available.
The one who got love by overgiving.
The one who never said no.

We break down what a boundary really is (spoiler: it’s not a wall), how to stay grounded when people push back, and why choosing yourself doesn’t make you selfish—it makes you whole.

What You’ll Hear in This Episode:

    • What a boundary really is, beyond the buzzwords
    • Why boundaries are love, not punishment
    • Boundaries vs. walls: how to tell the difference
    • What to do when people don’t respond well
    • The faith piece, what Jesus actually modeled
    • Why guilt after a boundary might actually be grief
    • What to do when boundary setting feels lonely or isolating

✨️ Fuel for the Road Ahead:

Boundaries are an act of bravery.
Be brave enough to do what’s not easy but necessary.
And when, not if, the guilt shows up… remind yourself:
I’m growing. I’m grieving old patterns. And I’m showing love to myself. I can trust this part of my journey.

    💭 Reflection Question:

Where in your life are you feeling guilty for choosing peace, and what would it mean to honor that choice anyway?

    👉🏾 One Small Step:

This week, notice one place where you’ve set a boundary—and instead of apologizing for it, affirm it.

Say to yourself: “This boundary honors me.” "This boundary honors my values and the healing I’m working toward."
