    Aging Well Through Menopause

    Coach Kristy Lynn discusses three aging metric; lifespan (how long you live), health span (how well you live), and strength span (how independently you live), as well as how menopause can affect all three through estrogen decline, accelerating muscle loss, bone density decreases, and metabolic changes that impact daily functioning.

    Using 2024 data from the CDC, she notes the average US female life expectancy is 81.4 years (85.7 if reaching 65), yet many face chronic disease or disability by 65, potentially spending decades with declining quality of life, especially since strength loss begins in the forties. She emphasizes lifestyle influence, prioritizing strength training 2-3 times weekly and increasing dietary fiber and urges listeners to consider other wellness dimensions (finances, environment, time/social connection, and spirituality/creativity) because living longer matters most when living well.

    Join Coach Kristy Lynn as she breaks down how the menopause industry has grown to $17.8B in 2024 (projected $24.3B by 2030), with the U.S. accounting for most revenue and supplements making up the vast majority, despite limited regulation.

    She contrasts FDA-regulated hormonal and non-hormonal therapies with the “wild west” supplement market, and argues the boom arose from decades of medical neglect, including limited menopause training in OB-GYN programs and historical under-inclusion of women in research.

    While awareness, benefits, legislation, and treatment options are improving, she warns about profit-driven marketing, influencers, and uncredentialed coaching, and shares red & green flags for providers and supplements, stressing evidence, third-party testing, and not dismissing symptoms as “just perimenopause.”
