Über diesen Titel

Where intersections, trauma, and lived experience meet.

This isn’t your standard ADHD talk. That lane is often intercultural — transactional, surface-level, and too often dominated by white, clinical voices. Here, we flip it.

On the Everything Bagel, we dive into Black ADHDish talkintracultural space that’s transformational, rooted in heritage, and carrying survival wisdom passed down. This is where trauma gets examined, not erased. Where lived experience is not just data but direction.

Each episode sorts the space with clarity:

  • Intercultural sessions → broad, accessible, anyone can join.
  • Intracultural sessions → exclusive, centered on Black parents and communities, unapologetically ours.

Both matter. Both have value. The bagel is everything — paradox, intersections, toppings you didn’t expect but somehow make sense.

This podcast is an invitation to sit at the table, know the rules of engagement, and understand the difference between listening as an insider, an ally, or an observer.

Bold. Clear. ADHDish.

  • YOU CANNOT SERVE WHAT YOU DO NOT SEE (full episode)
    Oct 2 2025

“You Cannot Serve What You Cannot See”

This five-part series dives into the historic and ongoing struggle between white therapists/coaches and Black African American clients. For generations, Black realities have been overlooked, minimized, or misunderstood in therapeutic and coaching spaces. We unpack why this disconnect exists, how whiteness and anti-Blackness shape the dynamics, and the burden it places on Black clients to carry the weight of translation.

Through candid conversations, lived experiences, and coaching insights, these episodes hold space for two tracks:

    • Centering Black Women’s Experiences — honoring the voices, realities, and wisdom of Black African American women as more than case studies, but as the heart of the conversation.
    • Coaching the Coaches — equipping therapists and coaches to better serve Black African American clients by naming what has been historically unseen.

    • Coaching the Coaches — equipping therapists and coaches to better serve Black African American clients by naming what has been historically unseen.
    • Centering Black Women’s Experiences — honoring the voices, realities, and wisdom of Black African American women as more than case studies, but as the heart of the conversation.

This is not just critique — it’s a search for options and solutions. Episode by episode, we explore distinctions, strategies, and pathways to bridge the gap between service and true understanding.
