• The Weaponized Memory
    Oct 5 2026

Most of us know what it feels like to have a hard memory surface at the worst possible moment. What we don't always recognize is that repeated rumination over painful events can train the memory to keep that pain close and easy to recall, while the evidence of growth, faithfulness, and good things requires far more intentional effort to access. In this episode we talk about what it looks like when memory has been trained that way, how it happens, and what it quietly costs us in our healing and in our relationships.

This is not about blame or pretending painful things didn't happen. It is about recognizing that continuing to rehearse the pain does not heal the wound. You are the steward of your own mind, and that means you have more authority over what your memory keeps close than it may have felt like. Today we give you a starting point for using that authority.

  • Protecting Yourself the Healthy Way
    Sep 21 2026

In this episode of Relationship Revival, Coach Joy explains why relational moments, a hard conversation, criticism, even silence, can trigger fight, flight, or freeze, framing these as the nervous system's automatic stress response rather than personality traits. She traces how repeated early experiences teach the body what counts as danger, why that response can stay stuck on high alert long after the original threat has passed, and how each pattern quietly shapes the relationships around it. She offers five ways to interrupt the response in the moment, extended-exhale breathing, grounding, speaking truth aloud, adjusting posture, and taking an intentional pause, then leads listeners through a "What's Running the Show?" exercise to uncover and replace the belief fueling their own pattern.

  • “The Pain In Going First”
    Sep 7 2026

Starting your healing journey changes you. The people closest to you (a spouse, a child, a sibling, or a parent) are still responding to who you were while you're learning how to be who you're becoming. Navigating that gap with integrity and not frustration is some of the hardest work in this process.

This episode explores what it means to heal in front of the people you love most, why inspiration almost always comes after friction and not before it, and how to hold the boundaries you've built without making the people you love feel punished for not keeping up with you. Connect with Coach Joy at paperbell.me/coachm-joy or find her on Instagram and Facebook @consultingwithjoy and on TikTok @breakthrough_with_Joy.

Key Topics: Healing in relationships, going first, bound relationships, inspiring change without forcing it, boundaries with people you love, integrity in the process.

    Aug 24 2026

Description: Coach Joy addresses the difficult stage of healing when you discover you're not who you thought you were. • “The Shift - Moving Information From Your Head To Your Heart”
    Aug 10 2026

Description: Coach Joy addresses the frustrating gap between knowing something intellectually and believing it deeply enough to change how you live. This episode reveals why old patterns persist even when you know better, and provides three practical methods at different difficulty levels for moving truth from head knowledge to heart knowledge through daily repetition, evidence gathering, and physical anchoring.

Key Topics: The difference between head knowledge and heart knowledge. Why knowing something doesn't automatically change behavior. Understanding that automatic responses take time to catch up to new decisions. How old beliefs were formed through repetition (new ones require the same). The importance of doing natural work to support spiritual truth. Choosing one area to focus on instead of trying to fix everything at once.

    Practical Tools (Three Difficulty Levels):

Write It, Speak It, Repeat It (Easiest) - Daily writing and speaking practice, morning and night.

List of Proof (Medium) - Evidence journal documenting when new truth shows up in real life.
