  • How To Start A Successful Pest Control Business
    May 3 2023

Want to learn how to start a business in the pest control industry? Go to https://pestcontrolentrepreneur.com/ to learn more about all the ways we can help you grow or start a pest control business.

Welcome to the new episode of the "Pest Control Entrepreneur," Jake gets interviewed on the “Pest Control Millionaire,” show hosted by Jonas Olson, a successful entrepreneur. In this episode, you will hear about Jake's journey towards systemizing his business, the importance of empowering others, and about the mentors that lead him to becoming the success he is today.

One of the main themes that Jake discusses is the importance of creating systems in your business.  Jake explains that he wanted to provide phenomenal customer service, and in order to do that without hiring someone for sales,  he achieved it by doing  things like creating phone scripts, a scheduling system, and a system that explains expectations on how to get repeat business.

Another theme that Jake discusses is the importance of having mentors and learning new things in order to grow as a person and a business. He recommends reading books like "The Slight Edge," "The Compound Effect," "Atomic Habits," "Traction," "Profit First," "100 Million Dollar Offers," and "How To Win Friends and Influence People." Jake believes that having mentors and learning new things are crucial to personal and professional growth.

Jake also wishes he had a personal and business vision from the start, and he explains that having a vision is the roadmap to success that helps you live a fulfilling life. It becomes a filter so that all the things that look like opportunities are actually a distraction. It's essential to create boundaries and set standards for your company.

In conclusion, Jake emphasizes the importance of creating systems, having a personal and business vision, learning from mentors, and setting clear expectations and boundaries for your company. Jake's advice is invaluable for anyone looking to start their own business or scale an already existing one.

  • Guesting On The "Professional Failure Podcast" With Justin Skinner
    Apr 26 2023

Want to learn how to start a business in the pest control industry? Go to https://pestcontrolentrepreneur.com/ to learn more about all the ways we can help you grow or start a pest control business.

In this episode of The Pest Control Entrepreneur Podcast, host Jake Ingledue gets interviewed by the “Professional Failure Podcast'' host Justin Skinner. He brings in successful entrepreneurs and leaders to share their stories of failure and how they overcame it.

Segment 1: Jake’s journey from a college student to running a successful pest control business and starting his own podcast.

While in college, he began investing in real estate. Being fascinated with entrepreneurship, Jake later on earned up to 50k in one summer doing door to door sales for a pest control company which inspired him to then drop out of college and create his own business. Throughout his  journey, he’s learned what it takes to find true financial freedom, and now has the desire to share that with others through the “The Pest Control Podcast”.

Segment 2: How Jake’s two-year mission with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints contributed to his success today.

Coming back from his tour in Afghanistan, Jake took on a two year mission that was a defining moment in his life. He shares how going door-to-door sharing the message of Jesus Christ taught him about selflessness and the importance of being in the present moment. His core business values were created from what he’s learned through the process of what it means to listen to others and the humility that comes with it.

Segment 3: What inspires Jake daily to overcome obstacles:

Jake speaks of how he is not motivated by money, and how that led to a state of depression and a sense of laziness in his efforts to grow his business. Feeling his last summer of sales would have gone better, he struggles with regret that he could have grinded a little harder, but this has only pushed him to do whatever it takes for self-improvement and growth. Jake has a fool proof way to consume new knowledge, and highly recommends reading books such as  “Atomic Habits” by James Clear and “100 Million Offers” by Alex Hermozi.

    Conclusion:

In conclusion, Jake reiterates his purpose in starting The Pest Control Entrepreneurship Podcast - to be a guide to financial freedom and fulfillment. He invites listeners to join him in this journey, and encourages them to take the leap and make their entrepreneurial aspirations a reality. By subscribing to The Pest Control Entrepreneurship Podcast, listeners will have access to Jake's personal journey, lessons learned, and practical tips and insights to help them succeed in their own pest control businesses.

  • The Ultimate Guide To Landing Your First Pest Control Client
    Apr 19 2023

Want to learn how to start a business in the pest control industry? Go to https://pestcontrolentrepreneur.com/ to learn more about all the ways we can help you grow or start a pest control business.

Welcome back to the "Pest Control Entrepreneur" podcast, hosted by Jake Ingledue. In this episode, Jake is going to share with you the ultimate guide to landing your first client by using a simple marketing strategy that really works. As an entrepreneur, Jake's pest control business not only pays his bills, but also allows the freedom and time to be with his family.

Jake introduces a simple marketing strategy/plan, which starts with defining your ideal avatar. This means knowing the demographic, geographic, and psychographic information about your potential clients.

Once you have enough information about them, you can create your value proposition/offer. This is determined by what your three uniques are: 1. What sets you apart, 2. What's your proven process, and 3. What's your customer guarantee.

In this episode, Jake also teaches you how to implement the Guerrilla warfare marketing strategy, by recommending door-to-door sales while targeting a specific neighborhood or area. He suggests buying door hangers, sending direct mailers, putting out yard signs, and buying enough business cards to reach out to 1000 homes. Additionally, he encourages entrepreneurs to establish a Google My Business account, Facebook account, and to provide high-quality service.

In conclusion, making money with pest control can be super simple when using these techniques. However, it requires making a move and taking action to implement these strategies. As Jake says, "Entrepreneurship is such a beautiful personal growth and development program."
