• Boys, Bias and Being a Teacher with Matt Pinkett
    Jan 20 2026

Welcome to Episode 16 of No Man’s an Island – a podcast powered by Men’s Therapy Hub, a directory of male therapists for male clients.

In this episode, Chris Hemmings speaks with Matt Pinkett who is a teacher, author and one of the UK’s leading voices on masculinity, boys’ mental health and tackling misogyny in schools.

Matt shares the classroom moment that changed everything for him, leading to years of research and advocacy around how boys are understood in education. He opens up about bias in teaching, the language we use around boys and the rise of online misogyny. The conversation also turns personal – exploring his struggles with mental health, sobriety and why he’s stepping away from teaching to continue the work from another platform.

They talk about connection, compassion and how we can create schools where boys are taught to care as much as they’re taught to perform.

    Dec 30 2025

Welcome to Episode 13 of No Man’s an Island – a podcast powered by Men’s Therapy Hub.

In this episode, Chris Hemmings speaks with Professor Ben Hine, a psychologist, author and academic whose work explores the lived experiences of men and boys in modern society. Ben shares his personal experience of family breakdown, the long-term psychological impact of alienation on children, and his research showing that both mothers and fathers are equally affected.
