Because the boys did absolutely no prep before the show and it was literally the first thing that came to mind. Yet, talking about Tyler doing LEGO sets opened up a conversation about reclaiming attention, and doing what you can to have more moments without your phone glued to your hand. Needless to say, the start of today's podcast was as scattered as ever.

Shifting gears, the boys discussed the video Chalmers posted on his Instagram of him falling on his ass. Everyone knows how much rain there's been in Edmonton over the last few days, but seeing a video of Chalmers wiping out was a nice little dose of sunshine. Sticking with the rain, Chalmers continued on with a story about one of his rental properties flooding because it's amazing how often things go wrong when unexpected weather happens.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with the Mike Babcock press conference, and how his answers to questions were as weird as they were avoidant. Either way, the team has made its decision, and we're starting off the Mike Babcock era no matter what anyone things. Kicking off the show the guys discussed their thoughts on world cup fever all across Canada, from fans in Vancouver to fans in Toronto, this country is rallying behind our team. Can Canada finally get their first win at the world cup?

Over the weekend Chalmers took his kids to the Bailey Zimmerman and everyone loved it. but this conversation was quickly derailed when Chalmers quarrels with the Edmonton Oilers came to light. Has the Oilers organization screwed up everything this offseason? Is the Mike Babcock hiring a sign of the end times? Only time will tell...

Wrapping up the podcast, Chalmers put his storytelling cap on and took us on a journey of his golf confrontation over the weekend. Words were said, fingers were pointed, and most importantly lessons were learned.

While there's little doubt that Nurse's contract became a problem, the reality is that he was also a very good Oiler for a very long time. Despite the contract being a sticking point, the reality is that Nurse is a guy who gave his all to the city and the franchise.

Shifting gears, the boys discussed the Mike Babcock rumours that have kicked up over the last week, and how just hearing his name was enough to trigger the entire fanbase. While there are a handful of Oilers fans who legitimately think this could work, the vast majority of them hate the idea to their core. That led the boys to discuss which guys would be better options for the Oilers, and whether they would even be interested in getting out of their own way.

Finally, the guys wrapped up the podcast on the Thursday episode of Real Life with a run of topics, starting with a breakdown of the Knicks' Game 4 win, New Yorkers embracing the moment, and recapped Tyler's trip down to Vegas, what it was like being at the Cup Final when you don't care. Yet, if you're Tyler Yaremchuk, being mindful of business expenses is the last thing he thinks about when hitting the road. Somehow, talking about Tyler heading to Vegas led to another conversation about how much Knicks fans are paying to watch games at the NBA Finals.

Shifting gears, the boys discussed the upcoming World Cup and whether the other guys on the show are getting excited to watch some international soccer. But before even getting anyone's answers, the conversation shifted to a bunch of random topics that had nothing to do with soccer. While there was some loose talk about soccer, we may never know whether any of the boys are excited about the biggest tournament on earth.
