• Turning Grief Into Purpose: The Story Behind Belle and Her Missing Heart
    Sep 18 2026

Sometimes our purpose has been revealing itself for years before we finally recognize it.

This week on Call Cut with Angélique, I sit down with self-taught watercolor artist and storyteller Daniel Angeles, creator of Belle and Her Missing Heart, a deeply moving story born from an unimaginable loss.

What began as a single painting for a little girl grieving the loss of her mother became something much bigger: a book, a world of characters, a mission of comfort, and a way for Daniel to use his art to help others navigate grief, healing, hope, and the emotions we don't always know how to put into words.

Daniel also opens up about his own extraordinary journey through multiple brain surgeries, his decision to stop drinking, forgiveness, and the realization that the art he had been creating for 17 years was preparing him for a purpose he couldn't yet see.

We talk about grief, creativity, emotional healing, finding your why, and what can happen when you stop waiting for permission and begin using your gifts in service of something greater than yourself.

As I always say, the thing you are searching for is already within you.

  • Shadow Work: Why You Need the Dark to Understand the Light
    Sep 11 2026

What if the parts of yourself you've been trying to get rid of are actually the parts you need to understand?

In this episode of Call Cut with Angélique, we go deep into shadow work, the ancient symbolism of the yin-yang, Carl Jung's concept of the shadow, and the alchemy of becoming whole.

We are often taught to divide ourselves into categories of good and bad, light and dark, spiritual and unspiritual. But human beings are far more complicated than that. We can love deeply and still feel anger. We can be courageous and still experience fear. We can celebrate someone and still notice envy arise. The problem isn't that these contradictions exist. The problem begins when we refuse to acknowledge them.

We'll explore why the shadow isn't something to destroy, how suppressed emotions can contain valuable information, and why integrating our darker aspects does not mean surrendering to them. It means becoming conscious enough to decide what we do with the energy.

You'll also learn how the Call Cut Method™ and the Sacred Pause can help interrupt an emotional reaction before an old narrative takes control, giving you the space to become curious about what you're feeling, what triggered it, and what it may be trying to show you.

Because self-mastery isn't about standing permanently in the light.

It's about knowing you can enter the darkness without losing yourself there.

  • Fear of Loss: When Ambition Is Actually Anxiety
    Sep 4 2026

What if the thing driving your ambition isn't confidence...but fear?

Fear of loss can disguise itself as ambition, perfectionism, overworking, comparison, competition, jealousy, and the constant need to keep pushing. We tell ourselves we're simply driven. But underneath all that striving may be a much deeper story: If I stop, I'll lose what I have. If I slow down, someone else will get there first. If something good comes into my life, eventually it will be taken away.

In this episode of Call Cut with Angélique, I get personal about my own fear of loss, where that story began, and how it continued to influence the way I approached success, creativity, relationships, and opportunity long after the original circumstances were gone.

We'll explore the difference between ambition rooted in confidence and ambition rooted in fear, why rest can feel threatening when you've learned to expect loss, and how the sacred pause can help us separate what is actually happening from the story fear is telling us.

And I'll leave you with one question:

What do you believe will be taken from you if you stop pushing?

Sometimes the story we've been carrying isn't the truth. It's simply a story we learned a long time ago.

    It's time to Call Cut.

    New episodes every Friday.

  • Is It Them, or Is It the Story? The Art of Communication with Tia Cristy
    Aug 21 2026

This week on Call Cut with Angélique, global communication expert, former national radio personality, and TEDx speaker Tia Cristy returns for Part Two of our conversation about something we all do every single day, and frequently get wrong: communicate.

What happens when a simple text becomes an entire story in our heads? How much of what we think someone means is actually coming from them, and how much is being filtered through our own experiences, insecurities, expectations, and past wounds?

Tia and I explore communication in modern relationships, the loss of human connection in an increasingly digital world, and why social media gives us only a fraction of the information we need to truly understand another person.

We also get into authenticity, privacy, and boundaries, online perception versus reality, transactional relationships, beauty standards, self-image, and the importance of becoming aware of the stories we bring into our interactions with others.

Because communication isn't simply about choosing the right words. It's about learning to recognize what is actually happening between two people before our own internal narrative fills in the blanks.

And yes, sometimes "OK" really does just mean OK. 😂

If you've ever overanalyzed a text, misread someone's tone, questioned a relationship because of something left unsaid, or wondered how we can reconnect in a world increasingly happening through screens, this conversation is for you.

Subscribe to Call Cut with Angélique for new episodes every Friday.

  • Arrogance vs. Confidence: The Fatal Flaw That Sabotages Success
    Aug 14 2026

What if the thing you call confidence is actually the very thing holding you back?

In this episode of Call Cut with Angélique, we're taking a hard look at arrogance, one of the easiest flaws to recognize in someone else and one of the hardest to see in ourselves.

Arrogance doesn't always announce itself loudly. Sometimes it looks like entitlement. Bossiness. Superiority. The need to be right. The inability to apologize. The need to control the room or prove you're the smartest person in it.

And underneath all that armor may be something far more fragile: the fear that without the status, accomplishments, authority, or validation, we might not be enough.

We'll explore the difference between genuine confidence and arrogance, why superiority depends on keeping someone else beneath you, how arrogance can quietly sabotage relationships and success, and why becoming unteachable may be one of the most dangerous places we can land.

Most importantly, we'll use the Call Cut Method™ to interrupt the need to prove, dominate, or diminish, and step instead into something far more powerful: humility.

Because you don't need to stand above anyone else to stand fully in your light.

  • Become What Intimidates You™ : How to Turn Fear Into Fire with Erin Smith
    Aug 7 2026

What if instead of running from what intimidates you, you became it?

This week on Call Cut with Angélique, Angélique sits down with sport psychologist, executive coach, TEDx speaker, entrepreneur, podcast host, and Mrs. Connecticut Erin Smith for a conversation about fear, courage, human potential, and what happens when we finally stop allowing our own stories to hold us back.

Erin shares how she called cut on a lifelong fear of public speaking and adopted the mantra "Become what intimidates you." What followed was a remarkable transformation that took her from avoiding the stage to creating her own speaking event, pursuing TEDx, speaking before larger audiences, and ultimately stepping onto the pageant stage and becoming Mrs. Connecticut.

Together, Angelique and Erin explore the psychology of high performance, the subconscious voice that tries to keep us safe, building confidence through action, finding purpose after major life transitions, and the courage required to discover just how far our potential can take us.

Erin also shares her work supporting veterans as they rebuild purpose and identity after military service, along with her mission to help women succeed in male-dominated industries without abandoning their authentic voice.

Sometimes fear isn't telling you to turn around.

Sometimes it's showing you exactly where you need to go next.
