Sometimes our purpose has been revealing itself for years before we finally recognize it.
This week on Call Cut with Angélique, I sit down with self-taught watercolor artist and storyteller Daniel Angeles, creator of Belle and Her Missing Heart, a deeply moving story born from an unimaginable loss.
What began as a single painting for a little girl grieving the loss of her mother became something much bigger: a book, a world of characters, a mission of comfort, and a way for Daniel to use his art to help others navigate grief, healing, hope, and the emotions we don't always know how to put into words.
Daniel also opens up about his own extraordinary journey through multiple brain surgeries, his decision to stop drinking, forgiveness, and the realization that the art he had been creating for 17 years was preparing him for a purpose he couldn't yet see.
We talk about grief, creativity, emotional healing, finding your why, and what can happen when you stop waiting for permission and begin using your gifts in service of something greater than yourself.
