• Episode 8: Looking After Yourself, New Adventures & The Power of Community
    Jul 17 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on Adventure Geek Radio, we’re talking about something we often put at the bottom of the list… ourselves.

After finally having treatment on a foot problem I’ve ignored for years, I share a simple story that really made me stop and think. If someone gave you your dream car and told you it had to last a lifetime, you’d look after it. So why don’t we treat our bodies the same way?

We also celebrate the incredible Adventure Geek community after our walk leaders stepped in to cover my walks while I recovered, proving once again that this really is more than just a walking group.

    Plus, in this week’s episode:

    • The new Shropshire Three Peaks Challenge
    • Maxine explains why walking should be as essential as eating, sleeping and breathing.
    • Pete is back with the weekly Round Robin.
    • Another Mystery Sound for you to guess.
    • I share the story behind my new Meta AI glasses.
    • The first Albania Travel Journal is now live.
    • And we celebrate walking 1,571 miles together during July so far – that’s the equivalent of walking from Towcester to Alicante!

So, grab a cuppa, lace up your walking boots and come and join me for another friendly chat.

    Live your best life. 💚

  • Episode 7: Croatia Reflections, New Beginnings & Why a Change of Scenery Matters
    Jul 10 2026

    Send us Fan Mail

This week on Adventure Geek Radio, I’m chatting about why a simple change of environment can sometimes be exactly what we need.

After years of working from home, I’ve made the move to the NatWest Accelerator Hub in Milton Keynes, and it’s already changing the way I work, think and plan for the future of Adventure Geek.

I also look back on our fantastic (and very hot!) adventure in Dubrovnik, share some exciting travel news, celebrate another successful Book Club, and reveal why my backpacking kit is coming out of retirement for a brand-new adventure in 2027.

    Along the way you’ll hear:

    • Pete Moore’s latest Round Robin question
    • This week’s Mystery Sound
    • Sounds from a peaceful Croatian evening
    • Good news stories from around the world
    • Our featured trip to Istanbul & Cappadocia
    • The latest StepUp Challenge update

So grab a cuppa, lace up your walking boots and join me for another wander through everything that’s happening in the Adventure Geek community.

    Live your best life.
