World-renowned Chef Prescott Vaughan was at the height of his career. Right before he's to leave for Paris to work alongside his idol, a horrific car accident leaves him completely blind.

The narration took a lot away from the emotional scenes of the book. I dislike voice and speech pattern.

With this author I am a little bit frustrated. Some are like the best books I listened to in months and others are so very bad, I find it hard to understand...
In this case it's a story which would have worked for two characters. And a big part of the book it's only them. Instead that the author is writing about the inner struggles they have and create a touching story out of it, a third person was forced in the story. This third person lacks something like a personality or a purpose... It seems like the author didn't research about couples of the or more people at all. It's a lot of work. Which also could have been interesting in a story. Instead it's nothing than sexual stuff and out of nowhere one of the characters has a meltdown because he feels left out. The story didn't lead to it and it's solved immediately. It's nonsense. Those characters for sure don't work together. It's sad because it could have been a nice and deep story about two... Or with a lot of more work it also could have been maybe interesting with three. Now it's like the author didn't know what to make of the two characters and forced in another in a way that the story feels like a lot of pages are missing or it's one story mixed up with another and doesn't make sense at all.
