I truly enjoyed Yes Please. I have a hard time listening to audiobooks because I need a certain dynamic to not get lost in my own thoughts and having to rewind.

Amy read in such a way that I finished the book in two days. Her voice was pleasant and change according to the mood of the chapter. Her storytelling was engaging.

I don't have just one favorite part but several. I loved how sad and funny stories came together. Haiti made me cry, her boys gave me warm and fuzzy feelings and everything else made me laugh. Often out loud which proves strange in public.

I highly recommend this book, print or audio.

I read this book before but decided I needed the audio book to keep me inspired and upbeat on my commute.
It did not disappoint.
Amy Poehler is an amazing storyteller. The book is funny and heartwarming and inspiring, all at the same time!
Leaves you feeling great and thankful all around!

I have listened to Tina Fey's book, Caitlin Moran's book and numerous other awesome comedian and actor memoirs and this is so much better. I literally laughed, I literally cried, and I literally did it all without shame on the commute to work. This book is that good. The guest stars and the funny stories are wonderful but what sets it apart is Amy's intelligence, grace and wonderful sense of perspective.

Ich würde es allen empfehlen, die SNL mögen.

Was würden Sie an der Handlung ändern, um das Hörbuch für Sie unterhaltsamer zu machen?

Ich würd die SNL-Zeit weglassen. Und wesentlich weniger erwähnen, wie furchtbar es ist, ein Buch zu schreiben.

Wie hat Ihnen the narrators als Sprecher gefallen? Warum?

Amy hat das ganz gut gemacht.

Wenn dieses Hörbuch ein Film wäre, würden Sie ihn sich ansehen wollen?

Nein.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Ich fand Amy leider nicht sympathisch. Das ist sehr schade.Aber das eine Kapitel über Parks and Recreation hat mir dafür sehr gefallen und ich bin froh, es gehört zu haben.
