But this was just heartbreaking. I thought I couldn't continue listening because I was in so much pain. This author knows how the depth of the human psyche, and how to bring across the pain of being on the lowest point imaginable in life, as well as the power love can have on a broken spul that has no way left to turn to in life. I am deeply amazed.

I cried while Wood tried to reconcile with his past and they were all so damn bigoted. *sigh*

While I love Tom Thor’s narration it was slightly unnerving that Bishops’ voice (from the first book) was spoken so very melodically and not as gruff as I was accustomed to. I get that the new MCs got the gruff voices now, but it kept confusing me.

Still a great audiobook.

I´m simply in love with A.E, Vias stories and her perfectly imperfect heroes.
Older, with "issues" or even a disability still makes for an incredible hero when written right - and she does it like no other 😍
Also love the way Tor Thom narrates - perfect combo!
