Über diesen Titel
I've never been a good bet.
I wear my emotions on my tattoo-covered sleeve, I say all the wrong things, and I revel in pissing off a certain redhead far more than I should. In other words, I'm the last person the court would choose to parent any child, let alone three of them.
Yet being their father is all I want.
So when the woman I love to hate offers to help make all my dreams come true, I jump at the chance. Marrying Ava is a convenient solution: she's my kids' favorite person and the court will absolutely approve of the woman who runs the biggest charity in Boston.
But there is nothing convenient about the way I feel when she fights with me, or when we kiss. And I'm not sure which I enjoy more.
This marriage may have a time limit but I'm beginning to think I'd like to keep my wife. She'll probably fight me on it, but as they say, all's fair in love and war.
Narrated in duet style.
©2025 Brittanee Nicole (P)2025 Podium AudioThis book was a highly anticipated listen, and it delivered an emotional and heartwarming experience — especially for fans of the Momcoms series, as familiar faces make delightful appearances throughout.
Tyler, aka “War,” is everything you want in a misunderstood bad boy. With his tattoos, team captain status on the Boston Bolts, and a tough reputation, he seems like your typical alpha hero. But underneath the rough exterior is a man with a heart of gold. His life revolves around the three children he’s raising — kids who’ve faced more hardship than most adults — and his dream of adopting them speaks volumes about his character. Tyler is the kind of MMC you root for from page one.
Then there’s Ava — a quiet, introverted heroine who is grieving the death of her sister and has found her purpose in caring for vulnerable children. She’s a strong character in her own way, though at times her decisions left me scratching my head. Her quick assumptions and reluctance to trust Tyler caused some frustrating moments, especially early on, but her emotional growth over the course of the book helps balance things out.
Their first date goes off the rails, and instead of talking things through, Ava pulls away — which leads to a bumpy road ahead. However, their shared love for the kids leads them into a marriage of convenience, adding a compelling emotional layer to the story.
While Ava’s choices kept me from giving this a full 5 stars, the touching storyline, heartfelt themes, and excellent narration made this a memorable and moving audiobook.
