I really loved the way this book kicked off the series! I actually read this after I devoured the Boston Bolts series. B. Nicole uses the time old recipe for a family sitcom and refines it: what I call “bling babble”, is a mixture of chaos, quick witted come backs, fantastic banter and adorable rituals dotted into the mix. The kids add such dimension to the whole thing.
I loved the chemistry between the narrators, not to mention the lovely voice acting of the kids, topped off with the 4th wall being hit with a comic-like wit (yes, Joe Arden is slowly becoming my fav mmc voice actor too- though Maxine Mitchel is definitely also my favorite fmc too!). I’m in love with this book!
If you are a fan of the whole wholesome and yet perfectly imperfect package (minus the tragic dimension) and not just one aspect of happy romance, with the added bonus of great voice acting then this is definitely something for you! I can’t help but gush…
