USA Today best-selling authors Brooke Blaine and Ella Frank continue the story of sexy Fallen Angel rockers Viper and Halo in Viper.
Scorching chemistry. Red-hot lyrics. An irresistible bad boy. Halo, the new lead singer for Fallen Angel, never stood a chance against Viper, the legendary lead guitarist for the band. From the moment Halo set foot in Viper’s lair, the match was lit, threatening to consume the two men with the heat of their desire.
But when their casual flings begins to morph into more, will it leave the entire band in flames? After all, it may have been Halo who fell from grace, but it’s only a matter of time before Viper falls for an angel.
Viper is the second book of the Fallen Angel Series and should be listened to following Halo. Halo and Viper’s story concludes in Book Three, Angel.

This one got a bit emotional but damn Viper came through finally!
Can’t wait for the third one!
Viper and Angel 🖤

With the band heading to Miami to record their album and living in close proximity for three months, things between Viper and Halo pick up fast—and I was here for every second of it.
What I found especially refreshing was Halo’s reaction to everything. There was no big panic or internal struggle about suddenly being into men—or more specifically, into Viper. He simply accepted it and leaned into their undeniable attraction, enjoying what they had without overcomplicating it. That felt so natural and honestly really nice to read.
Viper on the other hand… completely obsessed, low-key possessive, acting like Halo is already his—and yet still refusing to admit (even to himself) that this is more than just a fling. And that contrast? So good. Because while he acts like it’s something real, the moment things get too emotionally close, he pulls back.
Halo, with his soft and romantic side, really thought he got through to him at one point… which made that moment where Viper ends things hit even harder. That was definitely a shock.
And then that ending—Viper publicly blurting out his love for Halo? I mean… not a full cliffhanger, but again no real closure either. Safe to say I need book three (Angel) immediately because I have to know how they deal with everything—especially now in the public eye.
Once again, Halo is such a deeply layered, humble, and genuinely lovable character. And Viper? His perfect opposite in all the best (and most frustrating) ways. Together they’re explosive, intense, and completely addictive.
The spice definitely picks up in this one—more frequent, more intense, and it fits their dynamic perfectly.
And the narration? Just as good as in book one. Charlie David once again delivers an emotional and engaging performance that really brings both characters to life.
