i loved loved loved it, on so many levels. the characters are believable and lovely, the story is very unique (though for me it is) and i liked the writing very much. i was more than entertainted, the whole time. <3

The trope “twin mix up” might be not that unusual, but I loved this story.

I read it first and came here to hear the story again - alas, I did not connect with neither of the narrators.

This first book here, is a nice story and a good preparation for the second book in the series (-> which is super awesome). Impossible not to like the twins Law & Anders and their partners.
However, the narration is really horrible and makes it hard to finish the book (but don't give up).
Normally one narrator speaks one main character and the other narrator speaks the second main character. Here, however, both narrators speak for each character, which is not only confusing, but just totally annoying.

And of course the VAs aren't attuned to each other in the least. Not that trying to match the other's voice level would help the listener to associate the voice to the character or sth. #irony And of course the guy with the deeper voice speaks the one voiced higher by Leslie deep and rough as shit, making him appear like a completely different character to the audience. I'm at chapter 6 and already annoyed and turned off. The story so far is flat, the problems self-made, so if the depiction of the characters goes to shit as well, there isn't much to like here.
