Story with suspence an the characters develop with depth. Speaker ok with some good accents making easier to listen.

Solid story in genrecenter

Als Thriller für mich deutlich zu vorhersehbar. Der ganze Plot fühlt sich gewungen konstruiert an, absolut keine Überraschungen ( ausser dem Autounfall eines Nebencharas, der aber eher unbedeutend ist). Ich habe bis zum Ende auf einen Twist gewartet. aber da kam nichts mehr.
Der Hauptteil der Geschichte ist die Schablone eines 08/15 Liebesromans: clumsy waitress gets fired, rescued by a good looking customer who turns out to be the owner and hires her to play his girlfriend to spy on people. He's filthy rich, flirts with her and showers her with wealth. Then he gets controlling...
Der Krimi/Spionageteil ist verschwindend gering, die Story zu geradlinig, der Twist von passives Opfer der Umstände bekommt ein Beweisvideo in die Hand und wandelt sich im Nu in eine Erpresserin, die mal eben die Aktienmehrheit seiner Firma, quasi die Übertragung der Firma und noch eine Penthousewohnung fordert? Na, sicher doch.

This audiobook delivers a suspenseful ride that keeps you hooked from the first chapter. The narration is great and really builds the tension. However, the story falls short in some key areas. Most notably, the timeline around the birth of her son just doesn’t add up, and that’s hard to overlook. While the plot is gripping, the inconsistencies make it tough to stay fully immersed. Worth it for the thrills—but not if you’re expecting tight storytelling.

The story was pretty far fetched and the main character’s blood turned to ice so often, that she should have been an iceberg by the end of the story!
